In a remarkable initiative aimed at promoting gender equality and empowering women within the ICT industry as Axis Solutions we hosted a special event to award bursaries to two deserving girl students from the Harare Institute of Technology through the Computer Society of Zimbabwe Women in ICT initiative.

The event was held at Axis Solutions headquarters, witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including the Minister of ICT, Honourable Tatenda Mavetera, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. The Computer Society of Zimbabwe was also in attendance, highlighting the collective effort to champion the cause of women in ICT. The primary objective of the event was to encourage and support young women pursuing careers in the ICT sector. Axis Solutions aims to remove financial barriers that often hinder talented female students from realizing their full potential through the provision of bursaries. Honourable Tatenda Mavetera praised Axis Solutions for their commitment to bridging the gender gap in the ICT industry. She emphasized the importance of empowering women and creating a conducive environment for their growth and success. The Computer Society of Zimbabwe also expressed its appreciation for Axis Solutions’ initiative, stating that it aligns with their mission to promote diversity and inclusivity within the ICT field and it being the first of its kind they were applauding this initiative and appreciating Axis Solutions for coming on board.
